The course discusses the following topics:

  • Fundamentals of waves in various environments
  • Sound radiation and generation
  • Hearing and basic psychoacoustics
  • Room acoustics for small and large rooms
  • Microphones and cartridges
  • Loudspeakers and headphones
  • Sound & vibration isolation
  • Digital signal processing in audio

The course also features two lab exercises and two hand-in exercises.
