As a visitor, Gunilla is probably the first person you will meet at the Department. You will notice from the following lines that she is the real head of the department:
She deals with the economy: delivery invoices, customer invoices, set up budget for the department, economic follow-ups, economic statements to the research councils, balancing the accounts.
Student administration: report marks and master thesis, report courses for Ph.D. students, doctoral students' statistics, sale of course material, administration in connection with licentiate and doctoral exams, administration of scholarships.
Staff matters like contracts of employment, vacations, temporary appointment payments, travelling expenses accounts.
Order and registration of journals, sending out reports, etc.
Archives, enter diaries, post handling, key requisitions, contacts with the security, draw up inventories, order office ustensiles.
Basically, whatever happens in the Department is automatically known by her, as if by magic!
And most important: she is the responsible for the friday cake and for the daily cookies or fruits...
