The goal of this course is to support the students in the initial phase of the studies in our programme. The course is based on group work and seminars. Typical topics of the course are basics of signal processing, programming in MATLAB, formulation and modelling problems.

The course consists of lectures, seminars and project work, carried out in small groups. The work concerns mainly:
- Fundamental physics
- Fundamental mathematics
- Signal processing
- Fundamental acoustics
